Last Friday, April 16, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held an Express Entry draw for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). 6,000 applicants with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 417 received an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

This cut-off is a significant drop from previous draws, which were in the 440s. It may suggest that IRCC will still continue to regularly select applicants from the CEC program in addition to their recently-announced public policy pathways to Permanent Residency for international graduates and essential workers.

We encourage anyone who qualifies for the CEC stream to create an Express Entry profile. Please contact our lawyers at [email protected] if you have any questions about the program or if you would like assistance with setting up your profile.
