The Government of Canada has recently announced that it will postpone the 2020 Parent and Grandparent sponsorship program. As of December 20, 2019, the Minister’s office has released ministerial instructions noting that program has been postponed. This delay is taking place so that the government can revise and improve the Parent and Grandparent Sponsorship system. The Minister has indicated that further instructions will be offered no later than April 1, 2019. Our office eagerly looks forward to seeing and working with the new program once it is operational.
