IRCC has released the following update:

Important information about your approved temporary resident visa or super visa and Canada’s travel restrictions due to COVID-19

Dear temporary resident (visitor) visa or super visa holder,

Due to the evolving epidemiological situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government of Canada is continuously adjusting its border measuresEven if you have a valid temporary resident (visitor) visa or super visa, you may not be able to travel to Canada at this time.

Most foreign nationals need to qualify as a fully vaccinated traveller to travel to Canada, and are encouraged to check pre-entry testing and quarantine requirements before travelling. If you do not qualify as a fully vaccinated traveller, you will need to meet the criteria under one of the limited exemptions: Find out if you can enter Canada.

Note that you must provide your mandatory travel information electronically via ArriveCAN within 72 hours before arrival to Canada and show the receipt of submission to a Canadian border services officer before you’ll be allowed to enter. Please make sure you are using the latest, updated version of ArriveCan.

Requirements are changing quickly. Consult COVID-19: Travel, testing, quarantine and borders before you make travel plans, and again before departing, to avoid being denied boarding or entry to Canada.

Sincerely,
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada
