On March 10, IRCC announced that it is making changes to the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program for all students who were enrolled in an eligible program in progress in March 2020 or who started a program from spring 2020 up to fall 2021. As a result of this policy, time spent studying outside of Canada up to December 31, 2021 will count towards the applicant’s eligibility for and length of their future Post-Graduation Work Permit. Furthermore, students studying during this period can complete up to 100% of their program online from outside of Canada and still remain eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit.
