Alona Kishchenko is a legal assistant at Borders Law Firm who assists with legal research, document preparation, and client file management. Alona has always been interested in learning how the protection of human rights and freedoms intersects with immigration law. Alona completed her Master of Civil Law degree from the Donetsk Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. While Alona attended the Institute, she was interested in assisting marginalized communities with overcoming barriers to accessing justice and thus volunteered at the Legal and Consulting Center Defender. Alona is fluent in English, Ukrainian, Russian and Turkish. Prior to working at Border’s Law Firm, Alona gained international experience providing legal assistance on the international scale by assisting clients with complex legal matters including immigration law.
