In order to meet high demand for the parents and grandparents sponsorship program, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada sent out a second round of invitations starting from July 31 to potential sponsors who completed an interest to Sponsor form in January. On July 28, 2018, the Minister increased the number of annual applications accepted for processing from 10,000 to 17,000. If you have submitted an interest to Sponsor form in 2018, be sure to check whether you received a new invitation by email.
