  • Meeting the eligibility requirements under one of the above streams does not guarantee nomination, as the program gives priority to applicants who demonstrate the greatest potential to economically establish themselves in the province.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Skilled Worker Applicants with Employer Support<\/h2>\n

    Applications under this stream are reviewed under both eligibility criteria and selection factors.<\/p>\n

    Both requirements must be met. Applicants must have a qualifying offer of employment from a provincial employer in a position that cannot be filled by a Canadian or permanent resident.<\/p>\n

    Eligibility Criteria \u2013<\/strong> Eligible skilled worker applicants must:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Have a genuine offer of employment from a New Brunswick company that has been operating for at least one year;<\/li>\n
    • Be a permanent, full-time employee of the company supporting their application, and have worked for the employer for a minimum of 1 year if the job falls under NOC skill level C or D;<\/li>\n
    • Be offered a job that:\n
        \n
      • falls under NOC skill level 0, A or B, skill level C (type 1, 3, 7, 8, 9) or skill level D (type 1, 3, 7, 8, 9);\n
          \n
        • Applicants in the skill level C and D must have worked for the same New Brunswick employer for at least one year prior to submitting an application for the NBPNP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
        • provides a comparable industry rate of pay and complies with provincial employment standards;<\/li>\n
        • is in an area of skill shortage (the employer must be able to demonstrate their inability to find a Canadian or permanent resident to fill the position);<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
        • Be between the ages of 22 and 55;<\/li>\n
        • Have sufficient English or French language skills to fulfill the job duties (applicants with skill level C or D jobs must submit an official language test demonstrating minimum achievement of CLB level 4 in all skills levels);<\/li>\n
        • Have the education, qualifications and\/or licenses to fill the job position;<\/li>\n
        • You will live in New Brunswick.<\/li>\n
        • Your job is in an area of skill shortage<\/li>\n
        • Your job must provide a comparable industry rate of pay<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Selection Factors \u2013<\/strong> In addition, eligible skilled worker applicants must score a minimum of 50 points in the applicable selection factors. The points assessment occurs under five factors: age, language, education, adaptability and work experience. Maximum points are awarded to applicants who are between the ages of 25-55, have advanced language skills in English and\/or French, have attained either post-secondary or post-graduate education, a demonstrated intention to settle in the province (ex: family ties, past work or education in the province), and multiple years of work experience in their intended occupation).<\/p>\n


          \n

          Skilled Worker Applicants with Family Support<\/h2>\n

          This stream allows Canadians or permanent residents who are residing full-time in New Brunswick to support an eligible family member through the NBPNP and to assist in their settlement and establishment in the province.<\/p>\n

          Eligible applicants are not required to have an offer of employment, but must meet the requirements of their intended occupation, including a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience within the last 5 years.<\/p>\n

          Eligible family supporters must:<\/p>\n

            \n
          • Support an eligible family member (either a non-dependent child, brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild);<\/li>\n
          • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada, residing full-time in New Brunswick;<\/li>\n
          • Have been either:\n
              \n
            • Operating a business in the province for at least 12 consecutive months as of the date the applicant\u2019s application was assigned an NBPNP application number; or<\/li>\n
            • Working in the province for at least 12 consecutive months as of the date the applicant\u2019s application was assigned an NBPNP application number, and the job is represented in NOC skill level 0, A, B, or C (category 1, 3, 7, 8, 9);<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
            • Be financially self- supporting;<\/li>\n
            • Be able to participate in an interview with an official from the Population Growth Division;<\/li>\n
            • Assist the applicant with a settlement plan; and<\/li>\n
            • Only support one applicant at a time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
              As the Supporter of the Skilled Worker Applicant, you must not have:<\/div>\n
