The Alberta Ministry of Labour announced today that Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) applications would no longer be processed in 29 high-wage occupations where it was determined that there were enough Albertans in the labour market to meet demand. These occupations include many positions in the fields of applied sciences, trades, and oil & gas workers. The complete list of affected occupations has been provided below.<\/p>\n
