On February 14, 2019, the Government of Canada made several changes to the Post Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) Program Guidelines. These new guidelines are effective for all PGWP applications received on or after February 14, 2019.<\/p>\n
The most notable changes made to the PGWP Program include the removal of the requirement to hold a valid Study Permit when applying for a PGWP and the extension of the deadline to apply from 90 days to six months.<\/p>\n
PGWP applicants who have been refused the work permit based on the prior guidelines (before February 14, 2019) may submit a new application under the new guidelines, if they are eligible to apply.<\/p>\n
